Top Ten Tips To Prevent Hair Loss

Though people with an overdose of philosophy say it not what is outside, but inside the skull that counts, people suffering from hair loss wish it is the other way round. People of 'almost' all cultures are obsessed with thickly growing hair.
Ayurveda has identified this obsession a few centuries ago and has given the directions to minimize hair loss and better hair growth in its scheme of beauty care, which is commonly called lavanya sutra or the sutra for lavanyam or beauty.
Though lavanyam is referred to feminine beauty, hair loss tips are beneficial for the tougher sex too.
Here are top ten tips to prevent hair loss and ensure healthy hair growth.
1. Gently massage your scalpel with fingertips after applying a hair oil like coconut oil or sesame oil.
2. Eat Indian gooseberry in any form early in the day. Don't take gooseberry based products later in the night as it can affect your beautiful dental line.
3. Boil fresh or dried and powdered Indian gooseberry (also called amla) in coconut oil. Apply this for nourishing hair growth.
4. Eat all types of vegetables and fruits. This will ensure supply of vitamins and minerals essential for the healthy growth of hair. Vitamins and minerals are good for your health too.
5. Also eat protein rich food items ? tuna, lean meat, whole milk are beneficial.

It is winter and water is ice-cold, you can make it luke-warm. It is ok to wash your body with cold water.
7. Apply brahmi oil on your scalpel before going to bed. Good for hair growth and brain.
8. Dandruff is a cause of hair loss. Squeeze half a lemon to half a liter of water and rinse your hair and scalpel with this water as a cure to dandruff. Do this no more than three times a week and for up to a month.
9. Rosemary oil is an aromatherapy oil, which can be applied to your hair once in a week to reduce hair fall.
10. Crush a few leaves and flowers of hibiscus (shoe flower) with two or three glasses of water. The water becomes thick with the juice and use this water to wash your hair. Thoroughly cleanses your hair and gives dark bright color to your hair.
Never apply soap or high power shampoo on your head, as it can affect healthy growth of hair.

How important are they Vitamin and Mineral Supplement?

When many of us grew up, our parents taught us the importance of consuming the right vitamins and minerals, but they also taught us we could get all we needed if we just ate the good food they prepared. Of course, that was when most mothers stayed at home and prepared three meals a day for their families, and snacks consisted of fresh fruit with occasional sweets. With the fast-paced lifestyles we live today, do our children get all the nutrition they need from food alone?
Eating Nutritious Foods
It seems easy enough to say we can get all the vitamins and minerals we need by eating nutritious foods, but the problem is that most of us don?t eat food that is good for us. With the fast paced lifestyles we lead today, we are eating fast food and processed foods instead of home-cooked meals like our mothers used to prepare. There is little to no nutritional value in fast food, and because of the amount of fast food children consume today, it?s essential to make sure they receive vitamin and mineral supplements to make up for the lack of nutritional foods.
Unfortunately children are not the only members of our modern society who lack proper nutrition. As they hurriedly rush out the door in the morning with no breakfast and rush through their days often with no lunch, dinner consists of a trip to the local fast food restaurant or a bag of chips to stop the hunger pangs. It isn?t exactly the kind of diet that one considers healthy by any means. The parents must set the example for the child, but too many times parents feed the children and don?t eat themselves because they ?don?t have time.?
Are Dietary Supplements a Good Substitute?
Although they are not the best answer, using dietary supplements, vitamins, and minerals to obtain the necessary nutrients is better than not having them at all. Natural sources of vitamins and minerals are certain preferred to that of supplements, but if supplements are necessary in order to give the body everything it needs, then they become necessary parts of our daily routines. The body requires specific nutrients in order to perform its essential functions, and if it doesn?t get these nutrients from food, you must provide it in the form of nutritional supplements.
Choosing the right vitamin and mineral supplements is important to your good health. Do not assume you need to take every supplement on the shelf in order to make up for the foods you are not eating. Most of what you need is available in multi-vitamin form, but you may want to choose others based upon your lifestyle and the condition of your health.
Are Dietary Supplements as Effective as Natural Nutrients?
One thing of which you must be aware is that some nutrients are more effective in their natural state. This is especially true of some of the herbs that have cancer-fighting agents as part of their components. Before you choose any nutritional supplement, make sure you know whether the supplement is going to provide the same benefits you will derive from the natural product. Although in many cases you will find the same nutritional value, that is not always the case. You do not want to spend your money on supplements only to find they do not work as well as the natural form of the nutrients.

Depression is the most common psychological problem in the US. Estimates vary, but it's generally presumed that twenty percent of US adults are depressed. Though it may not sound like a lot when stated as a percentage, as an actual number twenty percent of the US adult population amounts to tens of millions of people. With numbers that high, it wouldn't be a great stretch to refer to depression as an epidemic.
One of the problems with depression is treatment. The reality of the situation is that depression typically responds quite well to treatment, and that depression is often overcome once treatment is initiated. While it's true that some people don't respond to certain types of depression treatments, odds are that at least one form or another of depression treatment will work for the person who needs it. This is meaningful as there are numerous depression treatments to be had, among them talk counseling and treatment with medications.
The problem with depression treatment is that most people with depression don't get any sort of treatment at all. There are certainly a number of different potential reasons for this, including the stigma that still exists about admitting to being depressed. Another reason for lack of treatment for depression however is likely due to a lack of motivation.
People who become depressed can become so listless that physical activity may seem almost overwhelming.
There may be a tendency to label the depressed person as being in some sort of funk or even being temporarily lazy, but the frequency of lethargy within depressed people leaves little doubt that physical inertia is in fact a genuine symptom of depression itself, and not something separate. Acknowledging that a lack of motivation and will is a symptom of depression is one thing, but dealing with the reality of such a state is something else entirely. The person who's depressed and is lacking will and energy can frustrate people who care for them, and can frustrate themselves as well. The thinking seems to go that the person who's feeling depressed should just will him or herself into action, and again, even the depressed person can share in this sort of critical thinking.
Frustrating though it may be, it's important to keep in mind that a lack of energy and physical action is a legitimate symptom of depression. While it's true that lethargy in a depressed person can be tough for all parties involved to cope with, the positive news is that energy often comes back in a person with depression once they've initiated treatment for their depressed state.
